Here's exactly where your information lives, who can see it, and how to take it with you.

Person	What they can see
PG owner	Their own properties, residents, rent ledger, complaints, visitors and notices. Never another owner's data.
Resident	Their own profile, payments, receipts, complaints and their PG's notices. Never other residents' payments.
Co-hopp team	Only what's needed to fix a problem you report, and only with your permission.
Anyone else	Nothing. We never sell or rent your data, and we show no ads.

How it's protected

Stored in India: [Confirm: database hosted in the Mumbai region].
Encrypted: in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
Separated by owner: every request is checked against the logged-in owner, so one PG can never read another's records.
ID verification: done through a licensed KYC provider. [Confirm: we store only the verification result and the last 4 digits of Aadhaar, never the full number.]
Payments: handled by Razorpay. We never see or store card or bank details.

Export anytime: owners can download their ledger, receipts and reports as PDF from the app.
Full export on request: message us and we'll send all your PG's data as a spreadsheet within [7 days].
Leaving: after export, your account and data are deleted as described on the Delete Account page.

If we ever find a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
